As we come to the close of this year, we offer our heartfelt thanks to each of you for the gifts of time, talent, and financial support that keep our parish running and serving. Our parish continues to grow and welcome new families because of the generosity and grace you share.
As we reflect on 2025, we see that parish expenses have increased by over 9%, while our income has grown only 2%. To close this gap, we ask that you prayerfully consider a special year-end contribution.
Please know that it is through your continued generosity that our parish can sustain our ministries, support our parish family, and meet the challenges of each year. We remain deeply grateful for all you do in service to our parish community.

'THANK YOU' FROM ST. VINCENT de PAUL
St. Vincent de Paul would like to thank all of our amazing parishioners and OLG school students for their generosity over this holiday season. The Thanksgiving collection allowed us to supply 15 families with food and also filled up the shelves in our food pantry.
The response to the coat and blanket drive has been overwhelming. Our Upper Room is filled with warm coats and blankets to get us through the rest of the winter and hopefully much of the summer. We have also opened up our upper room to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Transfiguration. That means that your donations are helping keep many in Castro Valley nice and warm. Thank you!
December had us collecting items via the Giving Tree and working with Leeanne and the Confirmation students to collect items for the East Bay Post-Acute Healthcare Center residents. Again, your generous response allowed us to give 12 families with young children food and gift cards. Parents were excited to receive the gift cards that would allow them to buy gifts for their children. With all your donations and just a little support from SVdP members, our Confirmation students were able to put together 90 bags and distribute them to residents of the Healthcare Center on the Friday before Christmas. They were grateful not only for the gift bags but for the visit.
On December 19th, SVdP & Confirmation volunteers at East Bay Post Acute Center in Castro Valley after passing out gifts & spreading Christmas cheer to the 90 residents!

Come join us after the 9:00am Sunday Mass on January 4th in the Gathering Area for coffee, donuts and community. We thank the Knights, Columbiettes & Confirmation students for this ministry of hospitality. See you there!

Save the date! Join us after the 4:00pm Vigil Mass at Transfiguration for a delicious pasta dinner and enjoy an evening of food, fun and community in Transfiguration Hall. Cost is $20 each. Tickets will be sold at OLG & Transfiguration Parish Offices. See you there!
