October 18th & 19th
World Mission Sunday is not just another Sunday; it is a powerful reminder of our call to be missionaries. The collection taken up on this weekend is unique as it is mandated by the Code of Canon law and is essential for the survival and growth of the Church in mission territories. These funds support the pastoral and evangelizing work of the Church, including building churches, providing healthcare and education, and training future priests and religious. Envelopes are in the pews for your use. Please make your check out to “Propagation of the Faith”. May God bless you for your generosity!
HOLY LAND SALE
October 18th & 19th
A group from the Holy Land (Bethlehem and Jerusalem) will be selling religious articles after all the Masses on October 18th and 19th in the Gathering Area. Take this opportunity help and support our Catholic brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. Many beautiful religious items handcrafted from olive wood will make wonderful gifts for the holidays!
WOMEN’S FAITH SHARING ADVENT INVITATION
Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage with Word on Fire
Begins November 25th
For Christians, Advent is not meant to be a time of passive waiting, but rather of hopeful preparation for the coming of the Lord. This Advent, the Women’s Bible Study will be using Bishop Robert Barron’s Word on Fire Advent Gospel Reflections. This devotional booklet features the full Gospel reading for each day of Advent, a daily reflection from Bishop Baron, space for journaling and answering reflection questions and more!
We will meet on Tuesdays at 7:00pm in Stack Center to discuss the week’s reflections and to watch a video that will help us enter more deeply into the prayerful nature of the season. We will begin on Tuesday, November 25th and go through December 16th. Cost is $3. Please sign up with Jay in the Parish Office at 510-537-0806 by Monday, November 3rd.
