FEAST OF ST. FRANCIS
The Friars invite you to celebrate the
Feast of St. Francis next week!
Tuesday, October 3rd at Transfiguration
Join them at 7:00pm for the Transitus of St. Francis, from life through death to eternal life. This is a very ancient prayer of the Friars and not to be missed.
Wednesday, October 4th at Our Lady of Grace
We celebrate the Solemnity of St. Francis at 8:15am (School Liturgy) and at 7:00pm.
Saturday, October 7th at Our Lady of Grace
Bring your well socialized pet and join us for Blessing of the Animals at the Gathering Area at 11:00am. Please keep dogs on leashes, cats in carriers and other animals in appropriate tether. Thank you!

The Festival Raffle is another great tradition and we are happy to announce the winners: Our Grand Prize Winner is Adriana Perino! 2nd Prize went to Gloria Serpa! Congratulations to you both!
HELP WANTED!
Our Lady of Grace is blessed to have a very large Confirmation Class this year! Matt & Leeanne Thomas, our dedicated Confirmation Instructors, are looking for five (5) individuals to assist during sessions. No teaching experience is required, only a willingness to assist the instructors with distribution of class materials and supervising students during these sessions.
Classes are held at Stack Center from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, two to three Sundays a month. The Program has already started and will continue until May of 2024.
If you would like to get to know our young Confirmation Candidates and can spare a couple of hours on a Sunday, please contact Roberta Santiago, csmbert@gmail.com or 510-733-5193 to discuss the Confirmation Program schedule and your opportunity to get to know and support our youth!

Planning for the celebration of the 42nd Year of the Province of the St. Joseph of Cupertino is underway. Make plans to dine and enjoy an evening with our Franciscans as we raise funds supporting the Franciscan Seminarians. Cost is $50 per person. More details to come!

St. Vincent de Paul would like to thank all of you who support us with your prayers and monthly financial contributions. Who are we helping? (names have been changed).
Lily is living in a tent in her friend’s backyard. She was hospitalized with congestive heart failure in January and has been unable to work. It took a number of months before she could see her doctor and have him sign her disability application. In the meantime, she ran through her savings. We have helped her with food and gas cards as she works to get cleared to go back to work. We are encouraging her to move back to where she has family so that she can receive additional support.

BEWARE OF EMAIL SCAMS
Fraudulent emails have circulated throughout our parish, using our priest's name and a fake email address seeking gift card donations. Be assured that our priests at OLG would NEVER solicit funds through any electronic means! If you do receive one of these emails and are unsure, do not open it and call the Parish Office or the School to make sure it's genuine. Also, report these to the police. God Bless and be safe!
